First bliss, then panic. I know what you must be thinking: I must be talking about a job interview. Close, but no. It was a task—simple in concept but challenging in execution. We were given the task of learning as much as we could about an AI program in fifteen minutes and preparing a five-minute presentation within the same time allotted.
The program chosen was StealthWriter. StealthWriter is an AI program that can generate, humanize, and detect AI-generated text. Although this program was incredibly interesting, this time, we cared more about the learning process.
The process started with pure panic. Initially, StealthWriter was chosen as the AI program to research. The first step was figuring out how to use the program. The initial idea was to use the text generator to create a poem that could represent the presentation.
Next, we noticed the humanizer feature. Doesn’t that sound a little scary? I sure was frightened but also curious. I wanted to know just how effective this tool was. So, we humanized the generated text and decided to check its effectiveness using the AI detection tool in the same program. Of course, it showed 0% AI detection—because if the program claimed otherwise, that would be pretty faulty!
At this point, we decided to take it a step further and use another AI detection software to test how well the humanizer worked. When using Grammarly’s AI detection tool, the 0% detection still held up. Now, that’s really cool—scary, but super cool!
Overall, this process was nerve-wracking but also really fun and informative!
